Students in the 6th grade experimented with gummy bears and what would happen when they are placed in different liquids. Students worked on measuring, observing, hypothesizing, and all components of the scientific method.
Save the Ice!
The 8th graders learned about states of matter and insulation - they had to create a structure that would save their ice for 30 minutes under a heat lamp. Most of their ice did survive!

Blessing of Class Sweatshirts
Each year the 8th grade students receive a gift from the school... a sweatshirt with their names and activities that they can now wear as part of their uniform. They are blessed at an all school Mass and then presented to the students.
“Bee-ing” Adventurous in Science
Second Grade learned that Pollination is the movement of pollen from one plant to another. The students “flew” their bees to other classmates' flowers and picked up pollen by rolling their bee in the glitter and glue mixture.
