Second Grade Experiment-A Matter of Air
Students did an experiment to see what would happen if they put a glass with a paper towel into water upside down. Most students thought the paper towel would get wet, but to their surprise… the paper towel stayed dry! They learned when they pushed the glass into the water, the air got packed tighter. The air kept the water away from the paper towel and it stayed dry.
